about

Running Time: 74:46

At some point, I’ve got inspired by generative music. Especially while learning modular patching. In the process, I re-discovered Forbidden Planet. I’ve seen that film long time ago, but completely missed its music somehow. I’ve discovered how it was created, why it was so important and groundbreaking. I also remembered how good was the film.

Then I’ve also learned how much impact had this music and how generative patches are connected to it. I’ve also discovered a lot of music inspired by this film and the Krell Patch. During that time I was experimenting with creating something similar, and I’ve decided to record all of this and attempt to create some cohesive musicality that can be enjoyed.

As this is random and generative music, some of it may not be necessarily musical, nor nice to listen to. I hope that at least it has a great atmosphere and will keep the listener interested and attentive. It’s closer to an ambient sci-fi landscapes, rather than typical musical creations.
Hope it will be experienced as inspiring, spooky, scary, interesting and even disturbing at times, yet pleasurable at the same time.

about

LeFanu Edinburgh, UK

There are no musical limits here, no categories, no labels, no styles. Just musical expression and pure joy of creation and a gift to others.

Since I went DAWless and started making music only on hardware, a lot has changes. I am exploring boundaries, crossing genres, looking for new ways to express myself musically. Each track brings something new, each time new ideas appear.
